About

I first became interested in music at 8 years old, when my class visited the band room at my elementary school. I was excited to hear the band teacher trial all of the instruments for us, but secretly I was already determined to play the flute. I dove headfirst into the instrument and music in general, not knowing that it would change my life forever.

I continued playing the flute in my school orchestra, where I was lucky enough to be experience many incredible works at a young age. In the summers, I was a part of my school's silent movie projects, where we learned the score to a silent movie and performed it live in our local movie theater.

When the time came to study at college, I majored in Early Childhood Education and minored in music. After graduating from Sacramento State University with my BA in 2017, I worked full-time as a preschool teacher in San Francisco until 2022. I loved my field, but I felt that music needed to be central in my life again. With encouragement from family and friends, I completed my MM in Flute Performance at San Francisco State University in 2025. 

During my graduate studies, I branched out on my own and began teaching music specifically for early childhood, combining my two passions. I am lucky to work with many high-quality early education centers in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering thoughtful, informed, and enthusiastic music education for the youngest learners. My clients value my expertise and professionalism that my unique qualifications offer.

As a flutist, I've been lucky to play in multiple ensembles at San Francisco State, including orchestra, chamber music, and the Afro-Cuban ensemble. I had the privilege of studying with Linda Lukas of the San Francisco Symphony. I have performed with the San Francisco Civic Music Association's "Mozart to Mendelssohn" orchestra, Redwood Symphony, Bel Canto Flutes, and more. I am also privileged to be a part of Flutes by the Bay, a San Francisco-based flute quartet. Some of our favorite performances include San Francisco Civic Music Association's Chamber Series and various Night Markets in the city.
